About this site
An independent, sourced comparison of data modeling and ERD tools.
What this is
datamodelingtools.com keeps one record per tool: 25 so far. Each lists published prices, deployment, license, modeling levels, engineering features and supported databases, with links to the vendor pages the facts came from and the date we read them.
Who is behind it
The site is published by a small independent operator, credited as "Data Modeling Tools". There is no staffed editorial team, no panel of experts and no hands-on testing lab, and we don't claim otherwise. Records are compiled from vendors' public pages and documentation and checked against those pages. Software assistance is used to fetch pages and draft text. Everything published is checked against the cited source.
What we don't do
- We don't sell placement, rankings or "featured" spots.
- We don't publish star ratings or reviews based on use we haven't done.
- We don't fill gaps from memory. If we couldn't confirm a fact, the record says "not verified".
How it's funded
Right now the site has no advertising and no affiliate links. If that changes, links that pay us will be marked, and this page and the methodology will say which programs are active.
